ZOO

I swear I have to hand it to all the many school teachers out there, and I better include all bus drivers as well! They have a hard job. Wow. The pressing question of the day is....how do they do it?? I mean holy cow! All I had to do was go on a field trip to the Zoo with a bazzillion second graders for half the day, and I was spent! I think I might have permanent damage to my ear drums and I have a massive headache that 4 Advil and 44oz of Pepsi won't even touch.

The saddest part of all was that my only job was to take these little guys around, show them some animals, and carry their lunches in my backpack. So why am I plastered on the couch, barely coherent, with ringing in my ears, and aching in my shoulders?? I mean, don't these teachers/bus drivers deal with this on a daily basis? I suppose it was entertaining. There's never a dull moment, and I did laugh when the bus driver got curbage and a little boy shouted out "AWESOME!" (Might I add that she actually got curbage 3 times?) But seriously! I guess I am just a wimp. Being a stay at home Mom has made me a softy.

So here's to you teachers/bus drivers as I hold up my Pepsi. I am awe struck at your patience. I am amazed at your abilities. I am wondering, do you take a Valium before you head into work each day??

You are flippin' hilarious. I love that the bus driver got curbage, that is classic. Hey, I need to learn how to do fun fonts like you. I have not experimented enough to learn to do that. It looks great.

I hear ya girl. I went with the twins to IMax, last year. Never AGAIN!!!!I wanted to hurt the children before we even got there. Then Science Camp, sent me over the edge......Im trying to talk Maddee into going to a resort instead of Science Camp. Here, here to all teachers!!!!

Thank you for thinking of the teachers....it is hard and nervewracking...can drop you to your knees and bring you to tears on somedays and then there are those days that make it ALL worth it!!!! I can't even count the field trips I have been on as a teacher...and hoping against hope we don't lose a child or maybe hoping we do...lol...teachers deserve a huge pat on their back! I'll drink to that too with my devil juice...

You are so right. How do they do it? I totally feel your pain. I haven't posted it yet, but I had a zoo experience on Wednesday that left me in pain the whole evening and even tears for a few minutes by how badly my head was pounding! What we do for our kids. But you were great to go. It means so much to these kids to have their mom there, and to the teachers to see the parents help out. Great job. As for me, I'm planning on bringing a big hat, darker sunglasses and a whole bunch of water and maybe next time it won't be so bad.
